Recently, I’ve been watching the lectures for the “Computer Science E-7: Exposing Digital Photography” course offered by the Harvard Extension School. Through the school, Harvard offer many courses to the general public and put the learning material online (many of the courses can be done via distance learning too).
The lectures from the course are available here. Generally, they are a little slow, but are very accessible and informative. I’ve not looked into the projects or problem sets, as I haven’t had time, so I can’t comment on their usefulness. It’s more technical than the Art of Photography though (as you’d expect from a comp sci course) and so it’s becoming a useful accompaniment.
